**About the Role:**

BW EPIC KOSAN MARITIME PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly experienced Marine Operations Manager to join our team.

This key role will oversee marine operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and provide guidance to vessels as needed.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

  • Leading the analysis of reports such as Safety, SIRE/CDI inspection, PSC inspections, Internal audits, Near misses, Incidents/Accidents
  • Collaborating with vessels to address marine-related concerns
  • Monitoring changes to SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, Class, Flag State, Oil Major and other applicable requirements
  • Developing plans for implementing these changes on vessels
  • Conducting internal audits on ships to identify areas for improvement
  • Verifying the implementation of corrective and preventive action
  • Designing and delivering training programs for officers and crew
  • Overseeing safety, environmental and security drills onboard
  • Reviewing and responding to safety and other reports received from vessels
  • Appraising officers and making recommendations
  • Supporting Fleet Manager, HSE & Compliance on marine and safety related issues on vessels
  • Conducting management inspections and identifying potential quality assurance issues
  • Evaluating deck officers for suitability for selection/promotion
  • Investigating incidents/accidents on board when appointed to do so by the Head of Marine Assurance

**The Ideal Candidate Will Have:**

  • A Master Mariner certification with 1 – 2 years' sailing experience as a Master on Ethylene / Ethane / LPG Vessels
  • No shore experience necessary
  • The ability to work at short notice and manage a 24/7 on call lifestyle
  • The ability to develop, improve and implement safe, and cost-effective technical vessel management processes
  • An in-depth understanding of the rules and regulations governing vessels' management
  • Excellent time management skills and commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Independence, drive, organization, and resourcefulness
  • A strong team orientation and ability to manage cross-functional relationships in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
