About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MEICA Construction Manager to join our team at SOLID M&Z PTE. LTD.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in planning and construction of waste to energy plants or major process industry / industrial / infrastructure projects, with a proven track record as a MEICA construction manager in large-scale projects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate MEICA systems seamlessly into existing building design, ensuring compatibility and optimal operation.
  • Conducting technical reviews of MEICA engineering designs and proposals, recommending improvements to optimise equipment constructability and efficiency.
  • Developing MEICA construction plans, sequencing, resource allocation, and logistical considerations.
  • Preparing cost estimates for MEICA components and services, considering design changes and project specifics.
  • Providing technical leadership in the installation of MEICA systems.
  • Overseeing the entire MEICA construction process, ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications, industry standards, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Supervising and mentoring MEICA construction team, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Collaborating closely with the client / stakeholders, addressing technical inquiries and ensuring MEICA systems align with their operational requirements.
  • Enforcing strict safety protocols and industry regulations on the construction site.
  • Providing regular project updates, technical reports, and installation strategies to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in the planning and construction of waste to energy plants or major process industry / industrial / infrastructure projects.
  • A proven track record as a MEICA construction manager in large-scale projects, managing internal / external stakeholders – HSE, QA, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Client, Authorities.
  • Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance requirements related to construction logistics.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Profound knowledge of MEICA systems and technologies.
  • Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team.
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines.
  • Meticulous and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Highly motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Salary Range

$140,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
