We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Leader to join our team. As a Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our hotel's Italian restaurant, Allora.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience by preparing and serving high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner. You will work closely with the Executive Sous Chef/Executive Chef to direct all kitchen activities and develop menus that meet the needs of our discerning customers.
In addition to your culinary expertise, you will also be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Food Production and Stewarding sections, including forecasting operational needs, staffing, and inventory based on business volumes and events.
You will also be responsible for maintaining good communication and relations with colleagues, contributing to menu development that offers value for money aligned with IHG standards, participating in monthly P&L meetings to review financials, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
Educating staff on cost awareness, portion control, and efficiency practices is also a key aspect of this role. You will refine culinary offerings based on feedback, trends, and insights while ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, including management responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills and leadership ability.
