Early Intervention Specialist

We are seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to join our preschool team as an Early Intervention Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to empowering young children with special needs, providing guidance and support to ensure their developmental growth and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identification and Assessment: Conduct screenings, monitor children's development, and collaborate with preschool staff and parents to evaluate progress.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Work with the preschool team and parents to develop tailored IEPs catering to each child's unique needs.
  • Instruction and Support: Provide specialized instruction and support to children with developmental delays or disabilities within a mainstream preschool environment.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Facilitate communication among all stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and support.
  • Progress Monitoring and Evaluation: Collect data, conduct regular screenings, and adjust instruction and support strategies as needed.
  • Family Engagement: Offer guidance and resources to support parents in understanding their child's developmental needs.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood and/or Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention-Special Needs
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in a preschool environment or working with special needs children
  • Proficient in PECS, positive reinforcement, and behavioral management strategies
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
