Technical Lead - Thermal Design

Leads a team of thermal design engineers in the development of innovative heat exchanger solutions. Oversees the allocation of engineering tasks, monitors project progress, and coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of thermal designers in the creation of cutting-edge heat exchanger designs.
  • Allocate engineering tasks and monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with procurement, QA/QC, and fabrication teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Review client specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Act as main technical contact during design reviews and provide expert guidance.
  • Support proposal and estimation teams with technical inputs to drive business growth.
  • Drive improvements in design processes and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in thermal design (heat exchangers / pressure vessels).
  • At least 2 years of experience in a lead/supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in HTRI, Aspen EDR, PVElite, and Autopipe-Vessel.
  • Strong knowledge of TEMA, ASME VIII, and API 660.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
