The National University of Singapore is seeking a Research Assistant to support its research activities in the field of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Job Description

The Research Assistant will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his designate to conduct a variety of research tasks. The main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Performing tasks and supporting all aspects of the research project
  • Conducting accurate monitoring, documenting, and reporting of experimental results and/or research findings
  • Assisting researchers in programming, data analysis, and literature review in various research projects
  • Evaluating and interpreting collected data and preparing oral presentations or written reports/scientific manuscripts/literature for publication
  • Contributing to project management, presentations, and publications of research work, including occasional laboratory demonstrations where applicable

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology or other related disciplines with at least 1 year of relevant experience in handling mice and performing mouse experiments.

Prior working experience in the areas of immunology or aging is preferred but not necessary. The successful candidate should demonstrate good knowledge, skills, and expertise in supporting various research activities. Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills, with excellent written, verbal, and computer proficiency are also required.
