Job Title: Senior Gambling Inspector

Job Description:

The Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join its Supervision Division as an inspector. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting risk-based reviews of gambling licensees to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with the Senior Assistant Director (Supervision) and other inspectors to foster licensees' governance, compliance, and risk awareness through best practices and standards.

As part of your duties, you will review operational frameworks and policies, encompassing a risk-based approach on areas of gambling operations, supervisory response plans, and methods.

The risk-based reviews can cover assessments of licensees' state of governance, compliance, and risk awareness.

You will also handle patron disputes when a casino operator and a patron are unable to resolve a dispute to the satisfaction of the patron.

You will have the opportunity to be posted to other Divisions within GRA to experience other aspects of gambling regulatory duties and responsibilities, as part of your development as a regulator.

You will interact with people from different walks of life and be at the forefront of Singapore's gambling regulatory regime.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge in Accountancy, Auditing, Economics, Business, or related fields preferred
  • Prior work experience in audit, IT audit, compliance, and regulation will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team player in a highly dynamic environment
  • High standard of integrity, drive, and sense of urgency
