Job Title: Elevator Mechanic

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled and experienced Elevator Mechanics to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot elevators and escalators in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. As an Elevator Mechanic, you will contribute to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vertical transportation equipment.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of elevators and escalators according to a planned schedule from supervisors.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and malfunctions in a timely manner.
  • Perform repairs and component replacements to restore equipment functionality.
  • Conduct tests and adjustments to optimize elevator performance and safety features.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Stay updated with industry regulations and technological advancements in elevator systems.
  • Collaborate with a team of technicians and provide guidance as required.
  • Respond to service calls and emergencies promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

 

Requirements:
  • Equivalent qualification such as NITEC.
  • Relevant certification or diploma in elevator engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Elevator Mechanic, with a strong understanding of elevator systems and their components.
  • In-depth knowledge of elevator installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with elevator control systems, electrical wiring, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work at heights.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license (motorbike) and be able to carry out call-back operations.
  • Able to perform overtime as required.
  • Candidates with experience in the elevator industry are encouraged to apply. On-the-job training will be provided.
