  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to farm staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Performance Tracking: Utilize analytical tools to monitor key metrics and drive improvements in operational effectiveness.
  • Staff Management: Oversee the hiring, training, and performance management of technical operations staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their roles.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations and personnel adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and directives related to operations, food safety, and employee safety.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with global Labs and Sales Teams to refine products, expand the product portfolio, and align with market needs.
  • Maintenance Planning: Plan and coordinate the maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Performance Goals: Develop and pursue operational performance and productivity goals in collaboration with the Head of Operations, contributing to the annual business plan and ongoing improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Proven experience in managing operations within an indoor farming or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Excellent computer and analytical skills, including experience with performance tracking and process optimization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and operational compliance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Hands-on approach and ability to work in an open environment with a flat hierarchy.
  • Able to work weekends and be available for any emergencies.
