Senior Backend Developer

As a seasoned Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in driving the development of scalable, resilient systems that align with business objectives. Your technical leadership and expertise will shape engineering best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Architecture: Design and review system architectures to ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and security.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide domain expertise and guidance across teams; drive architectural discussions.
  • Business Alignment: Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Reusable Components: Build high-quality, reusable components to boost team-wide efficiency.
  • Process Innovation: Define and implement standards, governance rules, and process improvements.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Coach engineers, drive knowledge sharing, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computing, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience in backend system design and development.
  • Tech Stack Expertise: Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, and distributed databases.
  • Architectural Skills: Experience designing and scaling large distributed systems.
  • Process Leadership: Able to define and implement engineering standards.
  • Innovation & Problem Solving: Continuously evaluates new technologies and integrates them strategically.
  • Risk & Impact Awareness: Anticipates edge cases and long-term impacts.
  • Fluency: Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is highly desirable.
