Senior Principal Foundry Engineer Position

As a senior principal foundry engineer, you will be responsible for leading the ramp-up of lead products under new technology introduction (NTI) and foundry process transfers. You will work closely with foundries, technology groups, business lines, and other stakeholders to qualify and release processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Closely collaborate with foundries at the ramp-up phase to drive manufacturability and yield improvement.
  • Interface with key customers on critical projects.
  • Lead and steer projects towards timely completion to support business needs.
  • Make key decisions on subjects related to process integration, balancing technical judgment, resource planning, project schedule, logistics, supplier relationships, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or MSc in physics or electrical engineering.
  • More than 10 years of experience with front-end IC process integration, working in foundries' production or development teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of IC devices and processes, including HV/BCD and NVM.
  • Strong understanding of yield enhancement techniques and data analysis.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin is also desirable.
  • Hands-on experience as a team leader, managing responsibilities in development/transfer projects or production ramp-up.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to influence and steer discussions.
  • Pro-active working attitude, creative, pragmatic, enterprising, and result-driven.

Familiarity with managing/working with foundries and maximizing leverage from them is essential.
