Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at MYCELIUM CATERING PTE. LTD. as an Institutional Catering Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to our restaurant's standards and recipes, ensuring that all dishes are of high quality and meet our outlet's standards for taste, presentation, and portion size.
  2. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all dishes served meet our high standards, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  3. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels for the kitchen, including ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods, and coordinate timing to ensure that all dishes are prepared and served on time.
  5. Adaptability: Demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced kitchen environment, handling pressure and multitasking effectively, especially during peak service times.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum technical certificate in Culinary Arts, Pastry, Hospitality, Restaurant Management, or Restaurant Operations.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an institutional catering or multi-outlet setting.

  • Recipes: Familiarity with recipes and menu planning.
  • Team Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Asset Management: Ability to manage inventory and supplies effectively.
