Job Overview

The Principal Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in driving business success through strategic architecture design and implementation.

This key position involves defining solution architectures that align with business requirements and the organisation's IT Target Architecture, while ensuring minimal complexity and costs. The ideal candidate will possess strong collaboration skills, as they will work closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

  • Design and implement solution architectures that meet business needs and organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate architectural solutions to various stakeholders and manage vendor relationships.
Main Responsibilities

Solution Design and Implementation: Develop and implement solution architectures that satisfy business requirements and align with organisational goals.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Communication and Vendor Management: Communicate architectural solutions to stakeholders and manage vendor relationships effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 10 years of multi-disciplined IT experience, including 5 years of architecture responsibilities in a large organisation with a high volume/high transaction environment. They should also possess excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as experience in integration architecture, B2C and B2B architectures, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and working knowledge of the Logistics/Transportation industry.

  • Architecture Experience: Minimum 5 years of architecture responsibilities in a large organisation.
  • IT Experience: At least 10 years of multi-disciplined IT experience.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
