Job Profile: Geologist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced geologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating project activities related to soil investigation and installation of geotechnical instruments.

  • Conduct in-situ tests (PMT, VST, PBT, PKT) as per the testing schedule
  • Supervise the recording of log soil and rock information during borehole drilling
  • Prepare soil data reports and ensure the quality of fieldwork
  • Interpret ground conditions through ground investigation
  • Prepare site investigation report
  • Assist safety personnel in ensuring safe operations of fieldwork
  • Assist in instrumentation works
Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Project coordination for soil investigation and geotechnical instrument installation works
  • Conducting in-situ tests as scheduled
  • Supervising fieldwork and ensuring data quality
  • Preparing reports and interpretating results
  • Assisting with safety and instrumentation works
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geoscience Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience
  • Certificates like BCSS, Site Investigation Supervisors from BCA & registered under GeoSS, Registered Earthwork Supervisor (RES) are preferable
