Job Title: Business Risk Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Risk Associate to join our team at Trust Bank Singapore Limited. As a Business Risk Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting our product teams in risk and audit related items, and serving as the main liaison between second line risk, internal audit, and external audit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify risk events, determine actions, and follow through to ensure effective risk management.
  • Guide teams on RCSA, perform control testing, and support control testing automation to ensure compliance with product governance standards.
  • Track risk and audit commitments and their status to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform gap analysis on products and services against regulations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support teams on business continuity, third-party management, and tech assessments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain an inventory of product-owned systems and roles and responsibilities to ensure accurate tracking.
Main Liaison:
  • Coordinate requests between product teams and second-line risk to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work with Enterprise Risk to develop key risk indicators, risk metrics, and committee submissions to inform risk management decisions.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits involving product teams to ensure timely completion and effective follow-up on actions required.
  • Collate and share audit learnings with product teams to promote knowledge sharing and improvement.
Customer Security/Fraud Education:
  • Work with technology risk and fraud risk to identify scam/fraud trends and develop education programs to inform customers.
  • Own the end-to-end implementation and monitoring of effectiveness for risk-related projects related to scams/frauds.
Regulatory and Business Conduct:
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across the product portfolio.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.
Role-Specific Technical Competencies:
  • Understanding and assessment of Operational Risk, including handling of Risk Events, RCSA, and Product Governance.
  • Understanding and assessment of other financial and non-financial risk types, with a specific focus on business continuity, third-party management, and technology risks.
  • Effective management of risk reviews from second-line risk and internal/external audits.
  • Development and maintenance of key risk metrics, risk management information, and key risk indicators.
  • Experience in leading projects to implement risk-related technology changes and monitoring the effectiveness of such changes.
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • 2-3 years' experience in risk management and programme management.
  • Business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Clear understanding of the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Operational Risk Framework or equivalent experience gained in other organisations.
  • Demonstrated history of applying sound judgement with critical thinking skills and courage necessary to perform a control role and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-focused with the ability to interpret large volumes of information.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to influence across all levels of business.
  • Ability to independently drive initiatives with minimum hands-on supervision.
