Job Description

Ceramics Studio Technician oversees the daily operations of a ceramics studio, responsible for creating ceramic pieces and managing studio equipment. This role involves instructing students in ceramics techniques, planning exhibitions and events, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

">Responsibilities
  • Teach ceramics classes and workshops to students of various skill levels.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for ceramics courses, including lesson plans and syllabi.
  • Plan and coordinate exhibitions and events, such as artist showcases and demonstrations.
  • Manage studio equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and well-maintained.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates should possess a strong background in ceramics, including knowledge of materials, techniques, and safety protocols. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong foundation in ceramics techniques, including throwing, trimming, and glazing.
  • Experience teaching ceramics or similar subjects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and move equipment as needed.
