Are you an expert in machine learning who can lead the way in optimising our operations? We're looking for a Senior Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join our Fulfilment team and drive strategic decision-making through advanced analytics.
This role requires a strong background in reinforcement learning, MDPs, stochastic control, and behavioural modelling. You'll be responsible for developing and deploying ML models that incorporate online learning, temporal decision processes, or simulation-based optimisation.
We're seeking someone who can effectively translate high-level business problems into tractable modelling tasks and collaborate with platform and experimentation teams to run real-world validations and iterate on model design.
The ideal candidate will have experience with distributed computing systems or scalable training platforms and be fluent in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
In this role, you'll work closely with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate optimisation models into real-time production systems and support the broader roadmap of supply planning, pricing, dispatch, and marketplace experimentation across Fulfilment.
Requirements and QualificationsTo succeed in this position, you'll need:
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Reinforcement Learning, MDPs, stochastic control, or behavioural modelling under uncertainty.
- Fluency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Familiarity with distributed computing systems or scalable training platforms.
