Job Title: Scientific Support Specialist
Description:This role involves providing administrative support to Science teachers, including preparing materials and apparatus for lessons, maintaining inventory, assisting with student supervision, and supporting science-related events.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist Science teachers in preparing necessary materials and apparatus before lessons.
- Maintain and update the inventory list for science equipment, ensuring items are in good condition.
- Support teachers in supervising students during lab work and during unstructured time such as recess.
- Help Science teachers with perishable items needed for experiments and events.
- Work with Science Head of Department on administrative tasks like collation of survey results and typing forms.
- Help with safety management tasks, including crowd control during arrival and dismissal times.
- At least one year's experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in a school environment.
- Minimum Secondary 4 education or equivalent.
- Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to assist in various administrative tasks and adapt to school schedules.
