Job Title

Senior Financial Controller (10 to 15 years exp) – Leading FinTech Group

This high-impact leadership role offers a broad oversight of group financial reporting and compliance, as well as contributing to the company's future U.S. IPO readiness.

The successful candidate will lead the preparation of timely and accurate group consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and/or US GAAP.

The role also requires ensuring consistency and quality of financial reporting across entities and jurisdictions, particularly in the context of a regulated lending business.

In addition, the Senior Financial Controller will act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, overseeing the full-year audit cycle and related processes.

Maintaining and enhancing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in alignment with public company standards is another key responsibility of this role.

The finance lead for IPO preparation will collaborate with legal, audit, and banking partners on S-1 filings and financial disclosures.

Strengthening internal financial systems and controls to meet the requirements of a listed company, including Sarbanes-Oxley readiness, is also an essential task.

The Senior Financial Controller will support loan-level accounting, credit provisioning, and income recognition standards relevant to a balance sheet lending model.

Driving operational efficiencies within the finance function, including process automation and system integration (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP), is also required.

Requirements
  • A qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) with deep technical expertise in IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within a lending, consumer credit, or digital finance platform.
  • Demonstrated involvement in preparing for or executing a successful U.S. IPO.
  • Strong understanding of SEC filing requirements, SOX compliance frameworks, and internal control implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise financial systems and reporting tools.
