Job Title: Chief Financial Strategist

The role of the Chief Financial Strategist is to oversee the financial strategy of the organization, ensuring its overall success and profitability. The position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining financial strategies that support the company's mission and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial models to forecast future revenue and expenses
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Supervise and review the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts for management and external stakeholders
  • Monitor changes and emerging trends in accounting standards and regulations
  • Provide financial leadership and strategic thinking to support sustainable value creation
  • Apply professional judgment to identify accounting treatments adopted in financial statements and assess their suitability and acceptability
  • Manage taxation-related functions within the organization
  • Support the organization as a business partner
  • Manage strategic planning initiatives
  • Manage the organization's management accounting and budgeting functions
  • Support internal and external audit activities
  • Drive the use and integration of information technology within the organization's finance function

Requirements:

  • Must possess a degree in accountancy or any equivalent professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years working experience, preferably with hospitality/F&B industry exposure and with audit experience
  • Good knowledge of finance/accounting policies and procedures, GST, Singapore tax, audit, and accounting laws, practices, and regulations
  • Excellent organizational, strategic planning skills, highly responsible, and reliable with exceptional attention to details
  • An influential finance leader with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with an ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Must be proficient in MS Office. Candidates experienced in using Sun accounting software would stand at an advantage
  • Travelling may be required
