Job Summary:

As a seasoned network professional, we are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Asia Pacific. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure across the region.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of network technologies, including TCP/IP, WAN/MAN/LAN technologies, routing protocols, VPNs, QoS, and multicast. Experience with Cisco (CCNP, CCIE preferred), Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers, Bluecoat Proxy Servers, wireless network technology, and network management tools is highly desirable.

You will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement effective IT strategies, providing guidance on technology selection and implementation while ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network infrastructure in Asia Pacific
  • Ensure Asia Pacific network services align with business requirements for stability, resilience, and performance
  • Implement global standards and best practices in all network infrastructure
  • Maintain technical documentation properly
  • Develop and enforce network policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Monitor and audit network activities to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
  • Support and administer firewall environment in line with IT security policy
  • Manage global/regional/local network project implementation
  • Provide 2nd/3rd level network operational support and implementation
  • Automate and streamline operation workflow processes
  • Provide consultations and operational support to business and IT units

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of technical and network operation experience in investment banking, financial institution, or large enterprise environment
  • Experience with latency monitoring concepts and relevant industry solutions
  • Global/project implementation experience
  • Familiarity with incident management tools and processes, such as ITIL framework, ServiceNow, or similar platforms
  • Ability to lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including communication with stakeholders and documentation of incident reports
  • Proven experience in network governance and control processes
  • Experience in implementing and managing network access controls, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures
