About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Professional to join our Cardiovascular Suite team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Professional, you will deliver high-quality imaging support and assist with interventional cardiovascular procedures. You will ensure compliance with radiology safety protocols to safeguard patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out diagnostic imaging services in compliance with established standards.
- Verify patient identity before examinations, ensuring adherence to radiation safety protocols and obtaining procedural consents.
- Confirm image recordings and printed copies meet quality standards prior to releasing them to doctors and patients.
- Ensure examination codes are accurately entered into the system in line with requested procedures.
- Explain procedures and expected durations to patients before examinations.
- Safeguard patients' safety and well-being during and after examinations.
- Take precautions to protect patients, staff, and the public from ionizing radiation exposure.
- Fulfill on-call and after-hours responsibilities as required, responding promptly according to hospital standards.
- Conduct daily equipment checks to maintain optimal performance.
- Undertake additional tasks assigned by the Principal Radiographer or Nursing Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in a diagnostic imaging facility.
- Prior experience in angiography and related fields is an advantage.
- Candidates with experience managing modality areas may be considered for senior roles.
