Job Description

The Air Conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation and Fire Protection Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the installation of ACMV systems in various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and supervise sub-contractors' work to ensure compliance with shop drawings, method statements, materials and samples.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities, sub-contractors, main contractors or clients to discuss shop drawings, materials and samples.
  • Review and align ACMV design drawings to ensure they meet design specifications and guidelines.
  • Apply knowledge of M&E systems to identify discrepancies between M&E, structural, ID, architectural and client provisions.
  • Manage and execute projects according to deadlines.
  • Attend meetings with subcontractors, contractors or clients to address issues and update progress.
  • Study and review drawings, specifications for compliance.
  • Allocate work and ensure jobs are completed correctly and properly within standards and SOP.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience preferably in the construction industry especially in ACMV system installation.
  • Sound knowledge of ACMV systems local and international codes of practice Green Mark requirements hydronic/static calculations BIM Revit AutoCAD is advantageous.
