Overview & Responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all commercial, contractual, and administrative elements of various projects within the Elliott Group, including but not limited to:

- Ensuring compliance with company policies as outlined in the quality and health, safety, and environmental management systems.

- Evaluating project inquiries and coordinating with Sales, Field Service, and relevant departments.

- Conducting site assessments as necessary for technical and commercial proposals.

- Developing and issuing technical proposals that encompass work scope, project timelines, and resource allocation for Field Service projects.

- Gathering and analyzing cost data related to project man-hours, materials, and equipment to support the Sales team in formulating commercial proposals.

- Providing technical assistance to Sales representatives during customer presentations.

- Actively participating in meetings and site surveys with clients throughout project execution.

- Preparing essential risk assessments and rigging studies for assigned projects.

- Facilitating internal coordination meetings with all stakeholders involved.

- Mobilizing labor and material resources for Field Service projects, including the supervision and scheduling of subcontractors for both major and minor projects.

- Initiating project order entries and issuing corresponding purchase orders, both internal and external.

- Monitoring additional costs such as overtime and materials.

- Managing internal project oversight.

- Promoting a safe working environment to prevent injuries to personnel and equipment, including the preparation and execution of toolbox talks.

- Planning, detailing technical requirements, and developing work method statements for all projects to clarify the work needed.

- Briefing the project team on commercial and technical details at the start of projects.

- Ensuring projects are managed within the allocated man-hours and financial budgets.

- Initiating requests for order amendments as necessary.

- Conducting follow-up calls to check inventory levels, promote parts sales, inspect new shipments, and sell services in collaboration with the service sales engineer.

- Keeping the Field Service Manager informed about all work performed, including quality, performance, equipment issues, and customer feedback.

- Contributing innovative ideas to enhance product design and service quality while resolving issues.

- Assisting with training programs related to rotating equipment.

- Supporting departmental activities as directed by Field Service Operations management.

- Planning and investigating complex issues related to rotating equipment and implementing corrective actions.

- Addressing company liability in failure claims and verifying the validity of customer claims.

- Taking proactive measures to prevent nonconformities in products, processes, and quality systems.

- Engaging in advanced planning to mitigate delays and optimize profitability, while swiftly identifying problems and making critical decisions as needed.

- Adhering to the ISO 9001 Quality System in all work.

- Establishing quality and documentation standards for projects.

- Conducting debriefs with the team upon project completion, identifying lessons learned, and initiating actions for continuous improvement.

- Overseeing the invoicing process for progress payment orders by tracking order progress against contractual milestones.

- Assisting in the collection of outstanding payments when necessary.

- Participating in project closeout meetings or lessons learned sessions with clients.

- Conducting self-assessments of all assignments to identify areas for improvement in products, processes, or quality systems.

- Keeping Aftermarket Sales personnel informed about immediate and future sales opportunities.

- Fostering positive customer relationships through effective communication and collaboration with client personnel.

- Managing warranty claims and maintaining a log of related activities.

- Preparing required service reports promptly and thoroughly, documenting specific instances with relevant details.
