As a Global Ship Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in the sales and purchase (S&P) desk. You will be responsible for supporting senior brokers in their day-to-day activities, including research, deal execution, and client liaison.

  • Your primary objective will be to originate and structure deals through market intelligence and relationship-building.
  • You will manage vessel position lists and track daily market activities to ensure up-to-date market coverage.
  • Negotiation of sale and charter agreements is also an essential part of this role, where you will strive to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
  • Providing market insights and trade recommendations to clients based on current trends, data, and opportunities is another critical aspect of this job.
  • Business development opportunities, such as identifying new clients and expanding the global client network, are also within your scope.
  • Proactive communication with clients to understand their needs and engage in long-term partnerships is vital.
  • You will prepare tailored market reports and presentations for both internal and client use.
  • Ensuring accurate internal data flow of vessel movements, transactions, and market developments is also crucial.
  • Representing the company at client meetings, conferences, and industry events is a key responsibility.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies or Diploma in Maritime
  • Alternatively, you may be open to candidates without maritime education
  • A proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • The confidence and capability to operate independently
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting
