Flight Operations Supervisor

The Flight Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of ground handling activities on all handled flights. Their primary objective is to guarantee a safe and timely flight operation that meets the requirements of dnata and its customer airlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acts as the principal point of contact for operations on the day of a flight, making crucial decisions and providing guidance to Service Delivery Teams.
  • Collates operational messages and communicates regularly with respective Service Delivery Teams and Flight In-charge to ensure message delivery and flight requirements are covered.
  • Implement day-to-day operations and ensures adherence to established standards and procedures.
  • Monitors the precision time schedule of flight activities and requirements (including non-schedule, chartered flights) to ensure the team is informed and updated on progress and/or changes/challenges.
  • Takes immediate action to rectify irregular operations through resource deployment, formulation, and communication of recovery plans to optimize turnaround performance.

Compliance with safety, quality, and control procedures is paramount to creating a healthy and safe work environment. Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external departments is essential to meet service standards and enhance satisfaction.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 'O' Level or Diploma from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the aviation industry or Operations Control Centre in another industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience with excellent communication skills.
