Enhance Employee Engagement and Drive Success

As a key member of the Human Resources team at Careers@Gov, the Strategic Staff Engagement Lead plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive work culture and leading employee engagement initiatives. This position requires a proactive and innovative leader who can provide guidance to their team and work closely with senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Employee Engagement Surveys and regular pulse checks to gather feedback from employees and drive improvements in our workplace experience and culture.
  • Undertake regular reviews to understand and identify the needs, experiences, and expectations of our diverse workforce and design and execute programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Organize organization-wide events and activities to strengthen employee engagement and promote a sense of community, appreciation, and recognition in the workplace.
  • Develop innovative approaches to adapt to the changing landscape of work, including hybrid work and new technologies.
  • Oversee benefits administration and the review of policies such as leave, medical scheme, WICA insurance, and staff-related awards.

Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management, or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience, with familiarity in employee employment, staff well-being, and various HR functions, and at least four years in a leadership role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong desire to collaborate to provide value-added HR services.
  • A team player who is independent, resilient, resourceful, with a proven track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and driving change.
  • A people manager who is strong in coaching and developing teams.
  • Proficient and with a strong data-driven mindset with the ability to gather insights, analyze employee feedback, and HR metrics to drive improvements in employee engagement and work culture initiatives.
  • Some experience with Workday HR System, Robotics Process Automation, Chatbots, and Macro programming will be advantageous.
