Job Title: Theatre Actor

The primary responsibility of a Theatre Actor is to portray a character in a theatrical production, bringing the script to life through voice, movement, and expression. This role requires a strong understanding of the script, character development, and effective communication with the director, crew, and fellow actors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learns lines, songs, and/or dances required for the role
  • Researches the play or character to deepen understanding and connection
  • Attends all rehearsals scheduled by the director and/or choreographer
  • Participates in costume fittings and ensures accurate representation of the character
  • Takes direction from the Director and/or Choreographer to refine performance
  • Works collaboratively with other performers to achieve ensemble cohesion
  • Attends technical and dress rehearsals to ensure seamless execution
  • Delivers a captivating performance to an audience, utilizing props and costumes as necessary
  • May perform additional duties as outlined in the job description, depending on the specific show
