Procurement Strategist

The Procurement Strategist will lead air procurement initiatives to maximize revenue through enhanced air product solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, identify and assess carriers' performance to ensure service quality, cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of goods.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with airlines and logistics providers to negotiate favorable rates and standards.
  • Engage in carrier engagement and procurement processes involving RFQ bidding to secure best pricing and space for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop cost-effective air products solutions and optimize procurement processes aligned with business objectives.
  • Execute air procurement strategies to maximize revenue through solution enhancements.
  • Manage contract administration including rate negotiations, service commitments and performance metrics.
  • Act as primary point of contact between company and key airline/logistics provider partners.
  • Stay updated on latest air logistics market trends and provide insights/recommendations to management to optimize sourcing strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management)
  • Minimum 8+ years experience in Global Logistics or Airline/Air Freight industry
  • Deep understanding of air spot rates and supply chain management
  • Excellent negotiation skills with airlines/logistics providers
  • Strong knowledge of international air cargo regulations (customs, security, environmental standards)
  • Proven track record in air cargo sales/B2B Sales and Marketing
  • Good connections with airlines/carriers/co-loaders
  • Strong airfreight operations, capacity management and cost structure understanding
  • Excellent communication/relationship-building skills
  • Strong negotiation/conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in data analysis/financial modelling for decision-making
  • Familiarity with digital logistics platforms/integration a plus
