Lead Network Technician

Our team is looking for a skilled and experienced Lead Network Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications engineering and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

Job Description:

The Lead Network Technician will be responsible for coordinating closely with INOC on timely fault clearing and service restoration of access and transmission equipment. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting faults related to access and transmission equipment, escalating to tier two technical support if necessary.

Additionally, the Lead Network Technician will be responsible for preparing daily schedules and executing site surveys, installations, commissioning, testing, replacement, and preventive maintenance of access and transmission equipment. They will also monitor the health and performance of the network and carry out remedial action accordingly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Min qualification of O Level /A level or ITE in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in Engineering (Technician) or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge on telecommunications engineering and the working concepts of the transmission systems.
  • Experience and knowledge in transmission equipment will be an added advantage.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
