Job Summary:This role involves managing, optimizing and securing Oracle database environments to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, compliance with data protection regulations, and collaboration with development teams for efficient database design.
- Manage, maintain and optimize Oracle database environments
- Implement and manage Oracle RAC environments
- Perform database installations, upgrades and patches
- Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies
- Monitor database performance and tune for optimal efficiency
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
- Automate common database maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design
- Implement and maintain database security measures
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Oracle DBA
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
- Proven experience implementing and managing Oracle RAC
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Shell, Python, Perl) for automation
- Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
- Familiarity with database compliance standards (e.g. PCI DSS, HIPAA)
