IMDA is driving Singapore's digital economy forward. As Deputy Director, Tech Policy, you'll empower our companies and workforce with digital technologies, enabling Singapore to be a leading digital economy globally.

The Tech Policy team advances policy to drive adoption and commercialisation of emerging technologies in Singapore, strengthening resilience and capturing economic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and support on technology policy-related issues and development
  • Be a thought leader on technology policies
  • Direct research and analysis on technology policies and their impact on various stakeholders
  • Develop strategies on the usage of emerging technologies based on research and analysis
  • Align IMDA's efforts with broader national efforts, coordinating and cooperating across Government
  • Identify relevant international forums, partners, and support activities to amplify IMDA's voice and influence
  • Communicate and engage key external stakeholders on related issues

Deliverables:

  • Strategic think-pieces and policy positions across BizTech Group's tech areas - AI, quantum, 5G/6G, trust tech, green ICT
  • Updates on key developments and trends in tech policy areas
  • Strategic narratives on BizTech Group initiatives
  • Secure resources for BizTech Group's ambitions

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in working with technology teams in policy, research, and/or engineering
  • Strategic thinker with collaborative attitude and a strong team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong presentation and engagement skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to work with both local and overseas partners and stakeholders
  • International experience, industry experience, and familiarity with the Singapore government highly valued
