Bar Restaurant Manager Job Description

The Bar Restaurant Manager is a key role at the Singapore Swimming Club, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar and restaurant. This includes ensuring excellent service, managing staff, maintaining operational standards, and achieving financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring smooth functioning and high standards of service.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for the bar and restaurant, monitor financial performance, and implement cost control measures to maximize profitability.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise bar and restaurant staff, create and manage staff schedules, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and addressing customer concerns promptly.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Menu and Beverage Management: Work with chefs and bartenders to develop and update menus, ensure the bar offers a diverse and appealing selection of beverages, and monitor product quality and consistency.
Requirements:
  • GCE "O" level or equivalent, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Bar Restaurant Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of bar and restaurant operations, including food and beverage management.
  • At least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
