The role involves overseeing media relations and communications strategies at the group level.

As a key member of a media team, you will work closely with various stakeholders to secure impactful coverage and manage crisis communications effectively.

You are expected to lead and execute media strategies and publicity plans that enhance the public profile of our institution.

This includes conceptualizing news angles, crafting compelling media narratives, and providing strategic counsel to senior leadership on communication risks and reputational impact.

Additionally, you will be required to work in close coordination with internal teams as well as external partners and vendors to navigate complex stakeholder environments with confidence, clarity, and professionalism.

The responsibilities of this role include:

· Identifying and developing healthcare stories to drive media coverage of key initiatives, programmes, and events.

· Organizing media briefings and conferences for key announcements, and developing collaterals for interviews.

· Fielding and facilitating media queries, ensuring accurate delivery of messages in line with media policies.

· Planning and writing press releases, developing Q&As and briefing notes, and preparing spokespersons for interviews.

· Strategizing crisis communications and managing the execution of response plans.

· Working with internal and external stakeholders to develop content and key messages.

· Supervising and guiding junior team members to work effectively with the media.

· Media monitoring and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in mass communications or a relevant discipline, with at least 8-10 years of experience in communications. Strong experience in crisis communications and management is also essential.

Other requirements include strong writing and presentation skills, proficiency in English with a good command of a Mother Tongue language, and good interpersonal skills.

Able to perform under pressure, work independently and in a team, and adapt to changing situations.

Prior experience in journalism or public healthcare is advantageous.
