Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist

Overview:

The Senior Commodity Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies to secure cost-effective procurement of raw materials and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for plastic commodities, aligning with business objectives.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and compliance standards are met.
  • Maintain market intelligence on global trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks in the plastics industry.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, alternative sourcing, and long-term supplier partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with product development and operational needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in commodity management or strategic sourcing, preferably in the plastics or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Deep understanding of plastic materials, global supply markets, and sustainability trends.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
