Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crewing Executive to join our team at DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating crew changes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing exceptional support to our maritime operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crew Management
    • Facilitate crew changes in accordance with the Seafarers' Employment Agreement and directives from the Crewing Superintendent.
    • Ensure Seafarers meet training, STCW, and Flag State requirements.
  • Compliance and Reporting
    • Report changes in Seafarers' employment status to the crew wages department.
    • Review and ensure compliance with industry regulations, including SCTW/MLC/ISM/IMO/TMSA.
  • Administrative Support
    • Manage vessel mail, including preparation and follow-ups.
    • Review vessel disbursement accounts with the designated Superintendent.
    • Notify relevant parties about medical cases/accidents and oversee documentation.
  • Recruitment and Training
    • Participate in crew planning, promotion, and career development.
    • Engage in recruitment activities.
    • Implement the Company's Management System effectively.
  • Financial Management
    • Coordinate cash to Master arrangements.
    • Approve travel expenses for payment upon request.
  • Special Tasks
    • Handle assigned special tasks.
    • Proficiency in the Company's Management System.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of ship or shore experience in shipping or ship management.
  • Minimum ITE/diploma in maritime studies, human resources, or related field.
  • Proficiency in ShipNet, PAL, ShipMate would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Industry Regulations including SCTW/MLC/ISM/IMO/TMSA would be highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in speaking and writing.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
