IT Manager Role in Public Sector

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to spearhead strategic engagements with Singapore's Public Sector. As an IT Manager, you will oversee the execution of large-scale IT projects and drive digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with public sector agencies, serving as their trusted advisor.
    • Understand the strategic IT roadmap, digital transformation initiatives, and evolving needs of public sector agencies.
    • Identify opportunities for engagement and collaboration.
  • Project & Program Management:
    • Lead multiple large-scale and complex IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
    • Demonstrate strong project management discipline, including scope definition, resource planning, risk management, issue resolution, and quality assurance.
  • IT Consulting & Solutioning:
    • Provide expert IT consulting advice to public sector agencies, guiding them on technology strategy, system integration, and IT best practices.
    • Conduct needs assessments, feasibility studies, and solutioning workshops to define optimal IT solutions.
  • Pre-Sales & Business Development Support:
    • Support pre-sales activities by understanding client requirements and crafting compelling proposals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any IT/Computer Science Discipline or Management.
  • Over 10 years of experience specifically within the IT sector, with significant focus on engagements with the Singapore Public Sector.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and successfully completing at least 3 large-scale IT projects for public sector agencies in Singapore.

Benefits:

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR) is required due to the nature of public sector engagements.
