Strategic Credit Risk Leadership

We are seeking a seasoned credit risk professional to play a pivotal role in shaping our regional credit strategies and translating them into actionable plans for countries.

As a Strategic Credit Risk Leader, you will be responsible for aligning subsidiary CRMs with group CRM policies, providing guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with credit regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of regional credit strategies and translate them into actionable plans for countries
  • Align subsidiary CRMs with group CRM policies and provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance
  • Pollinate credit best practices across the region
  • Responsible for the renewal of group credit policies and dissemination to subsidiary CRMs
  • Support subsidiary CRMs in achieving satisfactory credit risk review through oversight and sharing of regional findings and experience

Group Responsibilities:

  • Support the business unit in achieving its lending goals while maintaining sustainable credit risks
  • Prudent credit assessment of non-STP credit proposals and credit memos
  • Ensure approvals comply with regulations, credit policies, product program guidelines, and within lending authority limits
  • Ensure no new accounts turn non-performing within 12 months from non-STP approval
  • Jointly achieve satisfactory internal and external audit ratings

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of credit or frontline-related experience with regional exposure
  • Good understanding of small business banking products and industries, portfolio/delinquency credit framework
  • Able to translate strategies into action plans and successful implementation
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong management and supervisory skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptive and sensitive to cultural requirements to achieve desired results
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team
  • MS Excel and data analytics skills
