Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled technician to join our team in a part-time capacity, focusing on delivering exceptional technical support in data center environments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hardware, software, and networking systems, with a strong ability to execute critical operational tasks including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inventory control. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent technical acumen and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for data center hardware and infrastructure.
  • Perform core data center operations: Rack and stack servers and appliances, set up cabling and connectivity, deploy and decommission hardware, manage inventory (scanning, reconciliation), troubleshoot offline or downed servers, handle inbound and outbound shipping tickets.
  • Support network operations and assist in incident response for L1 and L2 issues.
  • Execute hardware/software installations and break/fix tasks.
  • Escalate complex issues and contribute to resolution planning.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through clear communication and timely service.
  • Document procedures, incidents, and resolutions accurately.
  • Participate in scheduled shifts or on-call rotations as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in a data center or technical support role.

  • Strong hands-on experience with server, storage, and networking hardware.
  • Proficient in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Capable of producing clear technical documentation and reports.
  • Willingness to travel regionally or globally on short notice.
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
