About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technologist (Innovation and Solutions Specialist) to join our team at the Environmental Health Institute. As a key member of Project Wolbachia – Singapore, you will play a crucial role in reducing the risk of dengue in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine tasks and support the planning and execution of various activities, particularly in production process improvements and experiments.
  • Contribute to innovations and enhance work efficiencies, which will ultimately improve public health.
Requirements
  • Ability to systematically perform routine workflow correctly with an eye for details.
  • Experience in handling live mosquitoes.
  • Flexibility to work after office-hours, weekends, and public holidays, on occasions.
  • Interest in continuous process improvements and innovations.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual works.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advantageous experience in fields of environmental science, engineering, or life sciences.
  • Advantageous experience and skills in handling tools and equipment.
  • Advantageous computer literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Advantageous experience working in a laboratory or insectary setting.
