Assistant Manager Position Overview

This role is responsible for coordinating and implementing initiatives to optimize resource utilization, cost containment, and develop value-based care strategies within the hospital.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, financial management, and clinical quality improvement tools.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Aiding cross-functional teams in identifying and enhancing efficiency and financial sustainability in operational and clinical processes
  • Designing and implementing value-based care initiatives that deliver appropriate and better value care within the hospital
  • Gathering, cleaning, and integrating data to ensure its quality and usability for downstream analytics and regular reporting purposes
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive communication strategies and stakeholder engagement frameworks
  • Providing secretariat support and participating as an active member in committees and workgroups contributing to resource optimization and value-based care

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • At least 2-5 years of related working experience in the healthcare industry
  • Strong background in biomedical and/or financial data analytics, including data wrangling, analysis, and visualization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with experience in Power BI dashboard application preferred
  • Basic competency in clinical quality frameworks and methodologies for measuring quality and clinical quality improvement tools
  • Pro-active, quality conscious, meticulous, and results-oriented approach
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Good team player, responsive, and adaptive to a dynamic working environment
