Energy Market Intelligence Analyst

Our company is a leading provider of energy market intelligence and consulting services with a strong focus on gas and LNG markets. We deliver cutting-edge market analysis, supporting clients with valuable insights and strategic advice.

As the world transitions towards decarbonization, understanding energy systems holistically becomes increasingly important. Our team employs a combination of modeling techniques and both qualitative and quantitative research to support our forward-looking views.

Our Approach

  • We collect data and information regarding market fundamentals (supply, demand, trade) and pricing for gas/LNG.
  • We analyze and model market fundamentals of gas/LNG, building forecasts, databases, and evaluations for our short-term and long-term gas/LNG services.
  • We write analytical reports, providing clients with in-depth market analysis and insights.
  • We analyze macro and micro economic data pertaining to oil, NGLs and gas/LNG.
  • We provide research support to consultants and senior analysts, assisting them in delivering high-quality work to clients.
  • We prepare internal and external client presentation material, answering client queries and communicating insights through published notes, presentations, calls, emails and meetings with clients and prospects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting data and information with regards to market fundamentals (supply, demand, trade) and pricing for gas/LNG.
  • Analysing and modelling of market fundamentals of gas/LNG, build forecasts, databases, and evaluations for our short-term and long-term gas/LNG services.
  • Writing analytical reports will be a key part of job scope.
  • Analysing macro and micro economic data pertaining to oil, NGLs and gas/LNG.
  • Providing research support to consultants and senior analysts.
  • Preparing internal and external client presentation material and answering client queries.
  • Communicate insights through published notes, presentations, calls, emails and meetings with clients and prospects.
Requirements
  • A highly numerate graduate with oil/gas industry experience or from finance, engineering, economics, or similar background.
  • Ability to undertake independent research and work with a project team.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to obtain pertinent information and develop effective models.
  • Excellent numeracy/written skills and comfortable working with large data sets from disparate and often unstructured sources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential for this role.
  • Able to legally work in Singapore.
  • Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment and deliver work in a timely manner.
  • Display a deep-seated curiosity for learning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
