Job Title: Early Years Environment Maintainer

We are seeking a diligent and meticulous cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our pre-school centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean classrooms, toilets, common areas, office, reception, parents' area, windows, doors, fans, shelves, cabinets, shoe racks, cubbies, children's tables and chairs.
  • Clean floor rugs, art and craft area, and soft covers.
  • Clean areas if children soil themselves.
  • Clear rubbish from classrooms/office.
  • Wash dishes.
  • Maintain and stock-take cleaning supplies.
  • Assist in kitchen when needed.
  • Prepare simple meals when needed.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a childcare setting, demonstrating competence in cooking and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and proper cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with young children and adapt to their needs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with childcare centre staff.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and moving around the childcare centre.
  • Certificate in Food Handling and Safety is an advantage.
