Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and friendly team player to work as a Deli/Bakery Clerk PT. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing polite and friendly greetings and interactions with all customers.

  • Preparing products for sale, including frying, cutting, slicing, baking, weighing, and pricing.

  • Maintaining product levels, quality, and freshness.

  • Maintaining sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.

  • Communicating customer requests to management.

  • Reporting temperature breakdowns to supervisor.

  • Keeping the supply area neat, clean, and tidy at all times.

  • Performing front-end duties to ensure customer arrival standards are maintained.

  • Announcing specials and sale info on the PA system.

  • Assisting in product receiving and storage.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A friendly, outgoing personality.

  • The ability to work well with others.

  • The ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.

  • The ability to read and understand information and directions.

  • Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.

  • To be at least 18 years old.

  • The ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
