Meat Cutter Professional

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment where you will be responsible for preparing and selling meat products to customers.

The successful candidate will have excellent knife skills, be familiar with various meat cutting tools and equipment, and possess good communication skills to interact with customers effectively.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have at least one year's experience as a meat cutter or butcher, knowledge of meat cuts, and proficiency in meat cutting techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cutting, trimming, grinding, and deboning meats according to customer orders.
  • Roasting meat, preparing hot deli, bento sets, weighing, packaging, and pricing meat products.
  • Maintaining clean and safe working areas by cleaning surfaces, equipment, food trays, floors, and removing rubbish.
  • Displaying high-quality meat products and delicatessens for consumer selection.
  • Ensuring all meat products meet quality standards for freshness that comply with company standards.
  • Assisting customers with their meat selections, providing recommendations, and offering advice on various cuts and cooking methods.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of meat products and replenishing them promptly.
  • Complying with food safety and sanitation procedures and regulations established by company and government agencies.
Requirements:
  • A GCE 'O' Level certificate or NITEC in Culinary Arts.
  • At least one year's experience as a meat cutter or butcher, proficient in meat cutting techniques and knowledge of meat cuts.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Attended Basic Food Hygiene Handler Course, good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Good team player, punctual at work, and able to take instructions from superior.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
