Data Center Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and operational continuity of our data centers across the APAC region.

This role involves performing preventative maintenance on server fleets, deploying new hardware, managing stock levels, and keeping DCIM documentation up to date. You will work closely with global teams based in Amsterdam and local third-party vendors to support day-to-day operations and long-term infrastructure growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out regular preventative maintenance on server fleets to ensure optimal performance and extend hardware lifespan.
  • Deploy new servers and pre-built racks at our APAC data centers, integrating them properly into the data center environment.
  • Collaborate with the Data Center, Networking, and Provisioning teams to ensure smooth deployments and operations.
  • Partner with our supply chain manager to manage stock levels for critical replacement parts across APAC data centers.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure issues efficiently to minimize disruption and downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, decommissions, and secure handling of components.
  • Manage your own schedule and workload independently to ensure data center operations stay on track.
  • Take ownership of third-party hardware installation projects in our environment.
  • Be the first responder (on-call) for data center incidents in the APAC region.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy of DCIM data for all APAC deployments.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits.
Requirements:
  • Frequent travel within the APAC region required.
  • Experience in data center operations, including server hardware deployment, maintenance, and asset management.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure and data center best practices.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Detailed-oriented individual with strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
  • Clear communicator – writing documentation, working with vendors, or coordinating with teams across regions.
