Job Title: Digital Literacy Educator for Primary Students

We are seeking a skilled Digital Literacy Educator for Primary Students to join our team. As a Digital Literacy Educator, you will design and deliver interactive ICT lessons tailored for primary-level students, covering essential digital skills, creative tools, and foundational coding concepts in a fun, interactive, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Design and Delivery: Develop engaging ICT lessons that cater to the needs of primary-level students, focusing on New Media Literacies, Touch Typing Skills, Digital Citizenship & Internet Safety, Online Research Skills, Student Learning Space (SLS), Basic Photo Editing and Video Creation, Google Workspace for Education, Web-Based Collaboration Tools, Introduction to Coding & Programming, Animation Creation, Conduct ICT Baseline Assessments.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students in developing 21st-century competencies, ensuring they have the necessary skills to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and school leadership to enhance digital integration across the curriculum, fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: A Diploma or equivalent in an ICT-related field, with a strong educational background and relevant experience in training primary school students in ICT or digital literacy.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace for Education, Coding platforms such as Scratch, Scratch Jr., Scratch Up, and Microbit, Video creation tools like iMovie or similar, Animation software such as Powtoon. Strong communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple, engaging way.
