• Job Description:

• Contract Review and Drafting:

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to assist in drafting, reviewing and amending contracts, agreements and other legal documents related to cross-border payment business to ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations.

You will have the chance to work closely with our experienced lawyers and gain valuable insights into the world of cross-border payments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and a basic understanding of relevant laws and regulations on cross-border payments, fintech, data privacy, anti-money laundering etc.

• Legal Research and Analysis:

This role also involves conducting in-depth research on laws and regulations in areas such as cross-border payment, fintech, data privacy and anti-money laundering (AML), and providing legal advice.

As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest developments in these areas and applying your knowledge to help drive business growth.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise, working on complex projects and collaborating with colleagues from different departments.

• Compliance Support:

In addition to contract review and drafting, you will also provide support to ensure that our business operations comply with the legal and regulatory requirements of Singapore and other jurisdictions.

This includes handling legal affairs related to cross-border payments, including but not limited to international contract disputes, cross-border transaction compliance, intellectual property protection etc.

• Internal Legal Consultation:

You will also provide legal support to various departments within the company, answer daily legal questions, and ensure that business decisions comply with legal requirements.

This role requires a proactive approach, ensuring that our business operations remain compliant with changing regulations and laws.

• Document Management:

You will be responsible for the filing and management of legal documents to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all legal documents.

This involves maintaining organized records, updating files and databases, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is available when needed.

• External Cooperation:

You will also assist in communication and cooperation with external lawyers, regulatory authorities and other relevant parties to ensure that our interests are effectively protected.

This includes maintaining relationships with external partners, negotiating contracts, and resolving any issues that may arise.

• Job Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. Educational Background:

A bachelor's degree in law is a basic requirement, and those with a master's degree in commercial law, international law, financial law or related fields are preferred.

1. Legal Knowledge:

Familiarity with the Singaporean legal system and a basic understanding of relevant laws and regulations on cross-border payments, fintech, data privacy, anti-money laundering etc.

1. Language Proficiency:

Excellent written and oral English skills, with the ability to write clear and concise legal documents and conduct legal analysis.

1. Industry Interests:

A strong interest in cross-border payment and the fintech industry, with a willingness to develop in this field over time.

1. Skill Requirements:

Strong legal research capabilities, logical thinking skills and analytical abilities, with the ability to independently handle complex legal issues.

1. Teamwork:

Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork, with the ability to work closely with colleagues from different departments.

1. Sense of responsibility and meticulousness:

A high level of responsibility, attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to complete tasks efficiently under pressure.
