Trade Finance Data Analyst

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled Trade Finance Data Analyst to join our team. As a Trade Finance Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing user correction logs by extracting and consolidating data from ClearTrade and vendor systems.
  • You will work closely with operations teams to understand the root causes of corrections and classify corrections into categories such as necessary (for ML training) or unnecessary (potential rule improvements).
  • Additionally, you will summarize findings in clear, actionable formats for both vendor and user feedback and collaborate with business users to understand operational logic and intent behind correction patterns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Familiarity with Trade Finance processes and documents (e.g., L/Cs, invoices, shipping documents).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in data analysis, preferably in banking/financial services.
  • Ability to handle and interpret large data sets, especially operational or system log data.
  • Proficient in English (written with excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
  • Experience working with AIOCR systems or trade finance automation tools is a plus.
