About the Role:

This is a full-time internship program, lasting for a period of 6 months, where you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the realms of merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Analysis and Product Research:
    • Conduct sales reports using Power BI system to gain insights into sales trends and consumer preferences.
    • Research competitors' merchandising strategies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Stock & Inventory Management:
    • Participate in the process of store stock request fulfillment.
    • Manage stock rebalancing and coordination with the Supply Chain team on stock allocation.
  • Product Assortment Planning:
    • Aid in the selection and assortment planning process by analyzing past sales and market trends.
    • Use Power BI reports to gain meaningful insights on store performances to assist in assortment planning.
  • Collection Launch Planning:
    • Assist in planning and coordinating in-stock allocation by store for every collection launch.
    • Prepare collection launch documents such as product maps and pricing.
  • WOF Events / MTO orders:
    • Prepare product assortment mapping and work with the Supply Chain team on Cites follow-ups.
    • Follow up on Leathergoods & Fur MTO Orders with HQ.
  • Customer Insights:
    • Gather customer feedback and insights from Stores to help refine merchandising strategies.
    • Conduct surveys or focus groups to understand customer preferences.
  • Collaboration with internal departments:
    • Work with CRM & VM team.
  • Networking:
    • Build relationships with other departments and office team.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a related discipline (e.g. Fashion buying, merchandising, business management etc).
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to perform basic analysis and probe for variances/trends.
  • Good Excel skills with the ability to execute formulas such as VLOOKUP/Pivot table and macros.
  • Good people skills, as this role involves interactions with various stakeholders within/across departments.
  • Ability to commit a full-time schedule over a period of 5-6 months.
